This class will be taught in 2 sessions.
Part 1: You will be creating the beaded beads that serve as the focal point for this necklace using Super Duos, Fire Polish beads, and seed beads.
Knowledge of peyote is a must.
You will also begin braiding the Kumihimo rope for this necklace.
There will be braiding homework assigned at the end of Part 1.
Part 2: During this session you will assemble the finished piece including learning to create a beaded end cap and inserting a jump ring connection in order to add chain.
If you have a Marudai (a traditional Japanese braiding stand) I will show you how to adapt the braiding instructions.
PREREQUISITES: Peyote stitch, Round braid
TOOLS: Round Kumihimo disk, Kumihimo weight, 8 thread lockers (optional), size 10 beading needle, Fireline, Bead mat, Chain nose pliers
