Some of the folklore surrounding Grandfather Santa, as he is called in Japan, is quite different than a western Santa.
He is a kind Monk with eyes in the back of his head, a laughing Buddah, with magical ghost like powers to get into houses with goodies.
Santa of Japan is the next addition to the Holiday series of “Santa’s Around the World”.
We will be using Flat, Even & Odd Count Peyote, with increases and decreases, in addition, to other creative beading techniques.
This series has some traditional Santa’s & some characters to add a little whimsy to the series.
This one will be more difficult/time consuming and must have some bead work completed prior to class.
